A Road

An interesting thing happened in a summer. I remember it very well. It was a summer, I had two months vocation. I went to summer school at my elementary high for one month. the reason was I needed to prepare a test for junior high school. After that , I still had one month vocation left. My mother wanted me to learn some other things. Therefore, she sent me to learn English.

My English teacher was an old man. He was a translator before. His house was located in a village. So, I needed to take half hour bicycle to his house. Everyday, I went to his house with my friends.

At that time, I could not ride bicycle very well. One day, my friends wanted to save time, they proposed me to take a road on the field. It will make us reach his house quickly. It was very hot during the summer, I also wanted to reach home as soon as possible. I accepted their proposal. We rode on the little road on the field. I rode very carefully, because I feared that t would fall down to farmland.

Between two farmlands, there was a trench, let water fell from this farmland to other. The trench sat on the road, therefore people could not cross it. People put two flagstones on top of the trench. Between flagstones, there a gap.

When I rode my bicycle a cross that trench, a front wheel fell down in the gap. It caused me to fall down too. The road hurt my chin. After I got up from the road. I told to one of my friends, "Can you to first, when you see the trench, tell me, and I can stop. I don't want fall down and get hurt again." My friend rode her bicycle in front of me, when she saw a trench she told me. I stopped. In this time my other friend road very near to me. I told her to stop it because I needed some time to get up to the bicycle. She said it didn't matter. Therefore, I got up to bicycle very carefully. When I got up, I heard some sound like some things falling down into water I stopped my bicycle, and turned to the right. I saw my friend and her brother, they both fell down to farmland (her brother was sitting in the back of the bicycle). Their bodies had some soil. I felt sorry about them because my friend didn't want to collide with me. So she rode very slowly. Because she rode very slowly, the bicycle could balance and fall down. I felt sorry, however when I saw their bodies had soil, I felt it was funny. They're like soil men. Fortunately, it was not far from their house. They could take a good shower to rinse soil from them.

Everytime, when I miss my homecountry, I always carry this experience in my mind.
